A warm welcome from us, Maria and Adolf! Our Farm is situated at the sunny side of the Isarco-Valley at an altitude of 750 m and 3,5 km distant from the town-centre of Castelrotto. We offer 3 rooms with breakfast (and the possibility to use the “guest-kitchen”. As an alternative it is also possible to book an apartment for 4 up to 8 people.

 

Relax and calm down at our farm. Explore historic pathways that in the past were the only connection between the Valley and the town centre of Castelrotto.

We love to please our guests and do our best to make our guest feel at home.

For children there is no time to get bored. The farm is a big playground and a swing, as well as a slide are also provided.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fresh fruit tastes best if picked directly from the tree. Our guests are invited to pick and taste the seasonal fruits (from cherries to apples) we grow.

 

 

 

 

Our loved animals including our dog Blacky, our cats and chickens as well as our pygmy goats Resi and Maxi bring joy to us and our guests.

At the farm Schied you will enjoy the rhythm and harmony of nature. Each season has particular allures. In Spring nature comes back to live and the colours of the flourishing fruit-trees stand out of the green. Starting from June our fruit and vegetable crops can be tasted. For example you can taste our cherries, raspberries, prunes, figs, grapes, apples and different vegetables from our garden.

In Summer the Alpe di Siusi and the Dolomites (Natural World Heritage Site) in all its beauty will not only fascinate mountaineers, but offers plenty of possibilities for any kind of interest. You can hike, climb, trek, mountain-bike or just walk to enjoy this fascinating scenery. The views, and the tranquillity will restore your energies and allow you to relax.






Who wants to cool down can take a refreshing bath at the swimming pool at Telfen or at the lake of Fie (rated at one of the most beautiful and cleanest bathing lakes in Italy) in the National Park Sciliar-Catinaccio.


Autumn offers particularly clear views and is the time of the “Toerggele”-Season. During the “Toerggele”-Season different farms open up their doors and serve homemade traditional dishes and homemade wine from own vineyards. In homely atmosphere and enjoyable company you will taste traditional food, laugh and dance .





VFrom our farm you can reach “Toerggele”-Farms in the Isarco-Valley by food or by car.

In Winter, the Alpe di Siusi is a skiing Eldorado, especially for families, children and beginners. For the more experienced skiers, the slopes of the Val Gardena or Val Badia with the well renowned “Sellaronda”, will be a great challenge. Also Cross-Country-Skiers, Snowshoe-Hikers or Sun-Seekers will be amazed by the views from the highest mountain plateau in Europe. The Alpe di Siusi can be easily reached by cable car from Siusi. From our farm it takes about 8 minutes by car or bus to reach the lower terminus of the cable car.
